Some think we were crazy and some think we were adventurous traveling to a place where we have a language deficit of and where their primary foods are ones Lexi is allergic to—wheat and diary. My wife, Lexi, who was then 1.5 years old, and I traveled Italy with a luggage full of microwavable rice and this pre-typed line on Google Translate, “Do you have a microwave we can heat rice for baby? Thank you so much!”
However, while we were there, we came upon one Coop where they sold corn pasta. We almost stocked up for the return trip in fear that we wouldn’t be able to find wheat-free pasta in the States.
We were lucky to have found gluten free pasta by Ronzoni. If you are also looking for wheat-free pasta, here is the link: https://www.ronzoni.com/en-us/content/31135/GlutenFree.aspx. (Note: I am not commissioned to advertise for them.)
